All About Eve: Marilyn Monroe did not attend the premiere of this film, the reason being she had to learn her lines for a screen test she had the following day. How to Marry a Millionaire: held at Fox Wilshire Theatre, Beverly Hills on 4th November 1953. Marilyn was there with Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, and Mr & Mrs Nunnally Johnson, Joe DiMaggio was not there. A huge event for Marilyn, she wore a flesh coloured crepe de chine studio dress, that was embroidered with thousands of sequins. The dress also had a long velvet train, and a gold belt. She wore with it a white fox fur stole and long white evening gloves. She did not attend the party afterwards but went home. The Seven Year Itch: held at Loew's State Theatre, New York on 1st June 1955. The one and only time that Joe Dimaggio escorted Marilyn, his recently divorced wife to a premiere. The Prince and the Showgirl: held at Radio City Music Hall, New York on 13th June 1957. Marilyn was there with her husband Arthur Miller. |
