The Marilyn Monroe Estate, at the time of Marilyn's death was estimated at $1,000,000. Included in this were her shares in The Prince and the Showgirl (1957), Some Like it Hot (1959), The Misfits (1961) and $65,400.00 worth of personal and real property in Los Angeles, according to the executor of the estate, attorney Aaron R Frosch. |

In June 1965 newspapers reported that the estimate was a “myth”, and one particular article stated:
Although Marilyn, in death, still earns about $150,000.00 a year in deferred salaries, and while her total earnings, including movie sales to TV, have come to over $800,000.00, virtually all is going to taxes.
The beneficiaries of Marilyn's Will were told at the time by attorney Elliott Lefkowitz (associate of Aaron Frosch), that they would not receive any money, as there were no funds. |

One newspaper, in 1964 published: Do you remember that half million dollars in the Marilyn Monroe Estate? Well, it isn't there anymore..the only asset left, and that still could bring in some money, is the late sex symbol's percentage in Some Like it Hot. All that insecurity and agony, for what?? |
