08/08/2009 – Thank you for a loving heart, full of hope, vulnerability, courage, and joie de vivre. Thank you for loving and hoping, even when people were cynical or dismissive. God Bless, from India, USA 08/03/2009 – When I was 4 years old I was looking at my parents tv guide and my eyes saw the most beautiful picture I've ever seen, it was Marilyn in black and white, with flowers in her hands, my parents found it very funny because they say I kept the magazine with me and started to look for more, so you can say my collection started on my 4th year!.. Since that time my hobby grew till 8,000 items and I still admire Marilyn very much..I can only imagine how hard it must have been for her in the fifties mensworld, she survived so long as she could..a soft girl but with powerful soul, the world will miss her forever because there's no-one like her..we will have to do with her fantastic pictures, beautiful poetry and amazing lifestory. Thanks Marilyn for being you, thanks for giving us so much joy even when you're in heaven. Love Sylvia Anka “Savvy” 24/01/2009 – My memories of Marilyn are the times I delivered newspapers to Parkside House, Englefield Green, Surrey, quite often seeing her in the gardens. I spoke to her on several occasions and found her to be the most pleasant of people. A lovely lady and very easy to talk to. Being 12 years old I guess I must have been the envy of all the boys at school. My mother remembers seeing her riding a cycle around the village. Ross, UK 07/10/2008 – Thank you for making my childhood that more exciting. You were my fantasy alive on the big screen and now alive in my memories forever. Jim, England 10/08/2008 – Someone loves you honey!!!!!! Kisses, Meggi, Poland 29/06/2008 – Marilyn! I love you with all I got! Over the years my love has grown deeper for you, and the more I read about you, I want to know everything there was to know about Norma Jeane/Marilyn Monroe. You will forever remain in my heart! I will never forget you. You're a wonderful person who just wanted people to love you. You truly got your wish. Sandra, Cali 22/06/2008 – In Memory of Marilyn. Marilyn Monroe rose above a childhood marked by neglect, chaos and sexual abuse to become a cultural, psychological and spiritual phenomenon of the Twentieth Century. Born Norma Jeane Baker, Marilyn Monroe (1926 – 1962) battled depression, anxiety, sexism and addiction while establishing herself as a shining star, accomplished actress and historical figure. Marilyn continues to illuminate the world and fascinate young people with her remarkable story. Marilyn's idiosyncratic style of requesting positive energy from her friends was to say “Please hold a good thought for me.” Forty-six years after her untimely death, new generations continue to Hold a Good Thought for this beloved woman and to admire her legacy of vulnerability, strength, talent and beauty. Marilyn's screen image was often in contrast to her soulful, shy and introspective personality. Searching for an identity, she set on a personal journey toward growth, culture, knowledge and love. Part of Marilyn's enduring appeal may be the empathy her pain and life experiences evoke in each of us. She inspires us to project our own subjective interpretations onto her extraordinary life. Marilyn was decades ahead of her time and greatly misunderstood. She was the first public figure to disclose childhood sexual abuse and one of the few actresses of her generation to establish her own motion picture production company. Before the advent of the Modern Womens Movement, Marilyn eloquently discussed objectification of women and advocated for Human Rights. Her screen roles demonstrated a wide range within typecasting. Her characters were wise, gentle, nurturing. They engendered goodness and compassion, taught lessons, and united opposing forces. Marilyn elevated the two-dimensional archetype of the dumb blonde into a textured, satirical parody. Ultimately, Marilyn's impact of the world overshadows the contribution of many statesmen. Her life continues to elicit strong, emotional reactions and is celebrated and respected in our popular culture. “She was (and still is) adored by men and women alike,” “and the depths to which she can stir emotions of both sexes indicates a profound sense of humanity.” Wherever she is now, whether she is watching and listening to us or not, Marilyn still has an impact on many habits and many people. Some who felt it was important enough for them to dedicate a part of their life to her, as a pure homage. Each one of us in our own way, and I can only hope that by expressing ourselves, more and more people will Hold a Good Thought for Marilyn as these were among her very last known words. Bill 08/04/2008 – Marilyn, gone far too soon but certainly not forgotten. You left a lasting legacy for us of wonderful films, and beautiful images – your warm personality shone through in everything you did. The following is a quote from Karen Carpenter's grave (another legend who died too soon), and I think it's true of Marilyn too - “A Star on Earth, A Star in Heaven”. Sally, UK |

01/11/2007 – Dear Marilyn, I have always been in wonder and awe of you not just because of your stunning beauty but also because your persona and intellect, and above all your child like innocence conveys to me what a wonderful and warm person you were. You gave away way too much love and didn't receive much back in return. I personally can relate to that and I feel that a certain amount of your characteristics are similar to my own. I also think it's heart wrenching how your ex husband Joe DiMaggio would not give up his love for you even after you had married Arthur Miller, and continued to be there for you till the bitter end no matter what. That just goes to show what a unique and special person you were. I utterly wish I could have known you as I would have loved to have you as a friend. Your candle will never burn out. You truly are the worlds most beautiful woman and even though you are often copied, you will never be duplicated, you are an original of the species!! Lots of Love, Charlie, Rep of Ireland 07/08/2007 – Marilyn I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART. You changed my life dramatically. I just wanna say I can't wait to see you one day. I love you with all my heart I truly do!! Holli, USA 13/05/2007 – Marilyn, you inspired me and change my whole life from the first time I saw your picture in a magazine, since I was a little girl. I love you and I hope to see you in Heaven. I do not think there is a woman in your beauty in the past, now or in the future. Areej, Iraq 20/02/2007 – Marilyn, You are the most beautiful and fun loving woman. You have inspired me so much throughout the years. The more I read about, the more I mirror your attitude. It's sad you passed before I was able to meet you. I know people misunderstood you, as well as they have me. But I realize true beauty comes within, you have made that a givin. I love you and you are my all time idol. Shauwna, Arnold City, PA 04/02/2007 - Dear Marilyn, my favourite actress!! Honey - you left the party far too early!!
