Throughout Marilyn's career she publicly donated both time and money to the below listed charities: 1953 – Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell sang one song at the Hollywood Bowl. It was a benefit which was staged to raise money for underprivileged children, and this was sponsored by St Jude's Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. 1954/1955 – Marilyn helped WAIF. This was an organisation that found homes for unwanted children. 1955 – Marilyn rode a pink elephant at Mike Todd's benefit circus. This was to help raise money for the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation, and the event was held at Madison Square Garden, New York. |

Marilyn participated on a regular basis to help the Milk Fund for Babies. First film that was made under Marilyn Monroe Productions, which was The Prince and the Showgirl, had its world premiere in 1957 to help the fund. January 1958 – Marilyn took part in the March of Dimes fashion show held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Marilyn gave a donation of $1,000 to a children's welfare institute. They provided free breakfasts to needy young people. |

1st June 1962 – Marilyn made an appearance at Chavez Ravine's Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles. This was to benefit muscular dystrophy. This date also marked Marilyn Monroe's 36th birthday, and her last public appearance. |
